About Us
We are a group of 47 pediatric fellowship trained anesthesiologists providing 1:1 care for our patients. PAI was founded in 1969 with 5 anesthesiologists. We are the sole provider of pediatric anesthesia services throughout the Intermountain Health system within the Salt Lake City valley.
Medical Missions
Caring for patients is at the center of what we do - and for many in our group, that commitment extends far beyond Primary Children’s Hospitals.

Over the years, members of our team have worked in Haiti, Guatemala, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, the Philippines, Honduras, Kenya, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ghana, and Bolivia. In these settings, we partner with local physicians and hospitals to provide anesthesia care, support surgical teams, and share skills in ways that can make a lasting difference.
